
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 500 g rice
- 100 g of cooked ham in one slice
- 200 g of Fontina DOP
- 4 eggs
- 60 g of butter
- pepper
- salt
- oregano
- tomato sauce
How to make Rice and Fontina DOP flan
Cook rice in salted water until half cooked. Drain and season with pepper and 50 g of butter.
Add the Fontina and the prosciutto cut into small cubes; mix, adding the four egg yolks, and cool completely.
Then add the egg whites beaten until stiff. Grease a mold with the remaining butter (it is best if it is a pudding mold with a rise in the center) and arrange the mixture in it. Cook in a scorching oven in a bain-marie, then put the mold in a pan with boiling water and bake in the oven.
Boiling water and bake at 270 °C for 20 or 30 minutes.
Serve accompanied by a very thick tomato sauce cooked for a long time, flavored with a pinch of oregano.
