Focaccia Ligure

pizza dough (basic recipe)
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 oz. coarse salt

How to make the Focaccia:

It is a type of savory bread that may have various toppings such as onion or cheese. Focaccia is generally baked in a flat sheet pan, and then served cut in various sizes and shapes.

Prepare the dough following the Pizza Dough Basic Recipe.
In a well-greased baking pan, flatten out one half of the dough and drizzle with oil; roll over the remaining dough and drizzle generously with oil, adding a pinch of salt (preferably coarse salt), and bake for about half an hour at 360°F.

Focaccia is best eaten warm.
It is often topped with other ingredients such as fresh sage, rosemary, chopped black olives, lightly salted onions, cheese, or a combination of ingredients alike.
